What gives a man true confidence? Is it his strength, his mental power, his past successes? No. True self-confidence grows out of the knowledge of God's ability to lead and direct. When you know God is with you, you can fight any battle, take any risk. When you know God is leading you, you are able to step out boldly into unknown territory. When your confidence rests on a foundation of trust in God's power, you can be confident in using your gifts and talents. The opinions of others won't sway you, and tales of other men's failures won't scare you away. Understand that you can do whatever God calls you to do, and you will be able to make things happen in your life.
