Congratulations, my son, Donovan McNabb you are now a Washington Redskins. With all the prayers we your family, your good friends and fans who love and appreciate you have prayed. You have been a wonderful QB and a well respected, class act young man. We have respect for your talents on and off the field. You deserve the best and I pray continued success with your new team.
Here is one of the prayers I received and know, it was heard by HIM.
"Father I thank you for Char. I thank you for her life and her vision and her love. I thank you for every trial and tribulation and every concern because it gives her an opportunity to seek your face and cast her cares on you. I thank you for giving her peace which surpasses all understanding. I thank you that whatever is before her that you already know the answer and we trust that whatever it is your perfect will is DONE! We release the cares of this life into your hands and thank you for making every crooked way straight, and unlocking the door which leads to the path she and her family are to take. I thank you for strength, power and wisdom as she takes authority over her thought and finds comfort and rest in you! In the name of Jesus! Amen!"

As a lifelong Eagles fan, I was really hoping Donovan would retire here and so disappointed when he was traded. He brought our franchise to new heights and was a positive role model to my young son; for that, I am grateful. Whenever he was on the field, I knew that we had a chance to win and he leaves town as the greatest QB in Eagles history. I know that there were some rough times here for him & for you, but I hope that the good outweighed the bad. And, as much as it pains me to say it of a division rival, I know that the Redskins are a better team for having Donovan there and I wish him continued success. My family & I remain fans of both the Eagles and of Donovan and I thank the entire McNabb Family for all of the charitable deed and the wonderful memories that you created during your time here.
